Sissi Chao is the founder of REMAKEHUB and the curator of the RePlasTerial brand. She is a distinguished young female innovator in the fields of circular economy, waste regeneration, and carbon neutrality. Sissi holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, the London School of Economics, the University of St. Andrews, and Duke University. Her outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to sustainable development have earned her international recognition, including Forbes 30 Under 30, the United Nations Sustainable Development Youth Innovation Award for Asia-Pacific, the UN Environment Programme’s Asia-Pacific Low-Carbon Lifestyle Entrepreneurship Challenge Award, a place on Tatler’s Gen.T Asia’s Top 100 list, and the WEC Young Women’s Innovation Award.

RePlasTerial is China’s first eco-friendly panel manufacturer specializing in transforming 100% recycled plastics into sustainable decorative materials. Using advanced technology and automation, it produces durable, waterproof, and flame-retardant panels for commercial spaces, retail, offices, furniture, and urban projects. With a carbon footprint of 17.05 kg CO₂/m² (emissions reduced by 89.14%), the company holds certifications including Carbon Footprint Verification, GRS, and Works with WELL, and was recognized by China’s NDRC for outstanding plastic pollution control.
